First "Live" Experience at Stadium

The other day, mummy was attracted to an exciting volleyball match on television and was impressed with the performance of a team, KT & G. Through a neighbour from Taiwan, it is now the volleyball match season which has been ongoing for 3 months already. The teams have been playing in various cities of Korea and that the KT & G team will be playing against another team in Daejeon that following Sunday.

Hee.., so off we went (tho' we are not any sports enthusiasts).

At the stadium, Mummy tried to explore making the mickey mouse "hat" using the towel provided (it's actually a banner for supporting one of the teams). My Cutie has been eyeing this mickey mouse "hat" since watching the K drama "Heart of 19" in Singapore. My Sweetie also loves hers and keeps on saying "mouse" while pointing to her mickey mouse "hat", sweet...

It has been fun, clapping and cheering for the team with the other supporters, following the cue of the cheerleader.

Guess what? At the end of the match, we actually went to the team's bus waiting area, for phototaking. Feel like a fan going after some movie stars. Oh my, it was really donkey years ago that mummy last did that. Hee... can't imagine next time my darlings told their friends that they have been going after the stars since at the age of 2 years old.

Look at my Sweetie with the sovenirs that Mummy brought back home. This picture reminds me of the cartoon "Captain Caveman" (you will know if you belong to my era), gee...

However, it has been a tiring day for mummy being out the whole day after watching 2 volleyball matches and going for dinner with friends after that. Nevertheless, it was a great outing and what an experience we had.

Opportunity Costs (or rather Gains)

Yeah, Mummy is glad that she has made the decision to attend the Korean lessons only twice a week instead and not to go on days when her darlings wake up very early in the morning (which often resulting in them being sleepy and grouchy halfway through the lessons and Mummy couldn't focus in class).

Now, Mummy can have more "me" time to do things that I like, eg. blogging, serving web and going after some nice Korean, Japan and Hong Kong dramas/movies. So far, I have watched "1 Litre of Tears (J)", 10 Promises to My Dog (J)", "Seducing Mr Perfect (K)", "The Art of Seduction (K)", "The Classics (K)", "200 Pounds Beauty (K)", "Forensic Heroes II (HK)". All strongly recommend.

Of course, the greatest gain is to be able to spend more quality "us" time with my darlings. Mummy enjoys doing craftworks with them. Here's some fun we had together.

First is the CNY deco for the house. The 福 character as shown in the picture was made up of many red packets which Mummy brought over from Singapore.

Mummy then learned how to make fish using red packets and hence used up the remaining red packets to make some for her teacher and classmates in her Korean class, hoping to bring good fortune to everybody in face of the looming economic crisis.

Here's the crowns which my darlings love cos' there's the Pororo stickers. The stickers have movable parts and hence will make some sounds whenever they shake their heads.

We have also made flags of different countries using different means (eg. colourings, pasting, tearing), will share more about them in another post.

Doodling on the wall is something that most kids will love. My darlings enjoy doing so with different medium (crayons, markers, highlighters, colour pencils). See their great work behind.

They also love the roleplaying sessions with their bunny hairclips. Here's 2 little bunnies holding the flowers which we had made in our fun sessions.

We also have more hands-on lunch sessions, here's 2 to share using my Cutie's favourite ingredient - zucchini.

Well, won't you be glad of my decision too if you were in my shoes.

Fun with tins again

It seems that the creative juice in the kids just flows non-stop with the tins.

The other day, my Cutie told me to come and see her snowman. As we were at home then, Mummy was like ???, so I went over to the room and saw this.

Just find it so amusing that she could think of building snowman with the tins. Also glad that she knows a snowman is made up of 3 body parts and she uses the biggest tins as the body.
Though it's winter period down here, there was hardly any snow for us to build a snowman. Occasionally, it would snow lightly here. But when the sun rises, all the snow disappears too.
Hence, Mummy was a little disappointed cos' she always enjoys building snowman with her loved ones during winter and this time round, she hasn't got any chance to build one. Thus, was happy to see this "snowman" built by her Cutie.
Often, Mummy gets to watch musical performance at home, with special appearance by my Cutie and Sweetie. Usually, the drums are the musical instruments used and this time round, the kiddy golf clubs are being transformed to drum sticks. My Cutie invents this song herself, but sounds a bit like traditional Korean song to me, haha...
