Happy CNY 2010

On New Year's eve, we went to the Chinatown to experience the CNY mood of being with the crowd.

This year was a great contrast as compared to last year when we were in Korea. There were no celebration nor decoration tho' it was a major holiday in Korea. Here, we can hear the CNY tunes being played everywhere that we go.

For my darlings, they finally, for the first time, got to enjoy the CNY experience. Tho' they enjoyed eating the New Year's goodies and wearing beautiful CNY clothes, it was actually the sparkles and the mini-bombs that really keep them excited over the new year.

Singapore Airshow 2010

Once again, it's the biennial Singapore Airshow and for the 1st time we went for it with our little ones and Yeye (grandfather) too. However due to the extremely hot weather, we were at the indoor exhibitions most of the time.

Thank God that we had made a lunch reservation in the restaurant and so were able to enjoy watching the Aerobatic Flying Display in the comfort of the air-con (see the pool of spectators standing below in the scorching sun, can't imagine us standing there too. Think the jet plane in the background is the USAF A-10 Thunderbolt II).

My darlings enjoyed the experience of sitting in the cockpits of a boeing plane and the F-16 jet plane.

We also had great fun getting authorgraphs of the RSAF pilots who were involved in the Aerobatic Flying Display (feels like the good old days of going after idols' autograghs, haha...).

After that, we took the shuttle to Changi Airport Terminal 3. Mummy was surprised that there was a Children Playground at the basement area. We had so much fun there that mummy had even forgotten to take a photo of my darlings. It has been a fun day.
