Time flies and it's Mid-Autumn Festival again. We did not buy any lanterns for my darlings, my darlings were very happy to use the paper lanterns which we had. Instead of putting the battery operated lights, we gave them real candles for their lanterns. It was actually more enjoyable and meaningful to have candle-lit lanterns.
We had a walk around the park below with the lanterns. My darlings held onto their lanterns carefully (maybe for fear that they might burn the lanterns, hee...). After that, we had a lot of fun playing games using the candles.
What a memorable day.

Blackout Dining
Within a span of just 2 weeks and we had experienced 2 blackouts in 2 restaurants. The first was when we were at Ichiban Boshi at Parkway Parade and the second was at Jumbo Seafood @Indoor Stadium. Luckily, both blackouts were just for a short while.
Nevetheless, it was quite an experience to eat in the dark. Gee... can you guess which photo was taken in the dark and which was taken when the lights were back?

Cutie lost her 2 front teeth
My Cutie has finally lost her 2 front teeth.
This was considered a bit fast as most kids actually lost them when they were in Primary One or Two. Actually, this was not too bad too as it is better to have no teeth now than to lose them when one is older and would be more conscious of losing the front teeth.
Haha.... however, it looks weird to Mummy. Hope that my darling's adult teeth will grow quickly.
(Wait till I find the photo, else look at the video posted on 9 September 2012)

Hard Rock Hotel
This year, we did not stay at the Ritz Carlton Hotel during the school holidays. Instead, we went to the Hard Rock Hotel in Sentosa.
It was actually quite an experience for my darlings to see what the other hotels got to offer, than to constantly think of only Ritz Carlton Hotel only.
We love the pool in the hotel. There are actually sand in the pool, which made us feel as if we are at the beach. See the little mermaid that we 'caught' at the pool, hee...
The hotel room decor is also quite tastefully done. The bold purple colour in the room is quite unique as compared to the common colour in most hotel.
The only drawback is that there is no bathtub in the room. Nonetheless, the pool nearby makes it up.
The next day, we went to the Maritime Museum and my darlings were able to tell us what to expect especially inside the Typhoon Theatre. They had actually been there on one of their school excursions.
It was wonderful experience at the Hard Rock Hotel, maybe next time we should go to the Festive Hotel and stay in the Family Room. Great idea ...

Movies times
Though we are back in Singapore for about 2 years, my darlings had already visited the cinema a number of times. My Cutie has not even turned 6 yet. They are really blessed as I remembered my first visit to the cinema was when I was in my teens then.
The last few shows that we had watched are "Rapunzel", "Puss in Boots" and "Happy Feet 2". This time round, Mummy has brought them to watch "The Lorax". My darlings enjoyed watching the show in the cinema. The sound effect and the individual seat for each of them seemed to add on to their enjoyment. Guess that's part and parcel of the growing up process, not forgetting they are getting more and more independent. At this age, asserting their independence matters.
The show was nice too. Dr Seuss' books are great too.

Buying their own food
Once a while, Mummy will get my darlings to buy things on their own while I guide them from the side. This time round, Mummy just sat at the table and got both of them to buy this Orea ice-cream from MacDonald. See how excited they were and the pride they had for successfully buying things themselves. Gee... no wonder they said the ice-cream tasted super delicious today.
