Creative Drawing
My Sweetie can draw with both of her hands, but with more tendency towards her left. Guess she's ambidextrous (hee... just like mummy).
Mummy enjoys watching them having fun together.

Conversation with 3-year old Cutie
Here's a transcript of their conversation (see video below):
C: And my teacher says "잠깐만" [Korean language for "wait"]. And my teacher, I go to school, my teacher went off. And here show, with me. I tell "선생님" [Korean language for "teacher"], go here, go there, then go to the zoo and show. She says no, you got to go to your home.
F: Then what did you do?
C: Just go to the zoo.
F: (laugh) Your teacher asked you to go home and you just go to the zoo. What did you do in the zoo?
C: I saw a playground, then I play with my friend. And up there got see-saw. Then my 1 friend, my baby, my Meimei [haha, she's deciding which character to go into her story] cannot go, Meimei was crying.F: She was crying, (yes), how did you take care of her?
C: It's ok, I tell her it's ok. You can come up yourself.
F: Did you help your Meimei?
C: Ya, I go down with her and fetch her penguin [that's Meimei's baby].
F: And then what happened to Meimei?
C: Meimei was crying for mama.F: (laugh) Then what should you do?
C: Kiss ah.
F: Kiss Meimei?
C: Then Mama walk, walk, walk and mama says come friend, you can play outside next time. All of us go "terd, terd, terd, terd, terd, terd, terd"
F: "Terd, terd, terd, terd, terd, terd"? Go where?
C: Go home.
F: Go home. Did you enjoy, have a good time?
C: I have a camera, in the zoo. My teacher gives me my camera, my friend don't have a camera anymore. They have a pal of cats. (???)
F: Did you take a lot of pictures?
C: Didn't, just one picture of ... my 10 friends [she's been emphasizing to her daddy that she got 10 friends].
F: Oh, so nice of you.
C: I got a big camera.
F: How big?C: It's very long.
F: Mm, very long. (laugh)Sunday, May 24, 2009
Hearty Meal
It's actually just a sushi shapes mould which is very easy for kids to use, ie. to make their own meal. All that is needed to do is just to scoop the rice over the mould and press.
See how excited my darlings are. Haha... guess there's never a time that they will not get excited over their own "hands-on" meal.
Yummy, yummy. There's my favourite mushroom too.

Sweetie's Independence (Part 2)
She enjoyed stacking them up into a tower. The sweetest moment was when the tower blocks came tumbling down. Mmm... isn't that amusing?
Gee... mummy is proud of her. What a straight line of blocks, doing all by herself.

Sweetie's Independence (Part 1)
Everytime we climb up the stairs to our house on the 4th storey, she wants to walk up all by herself and doesn't want anybody to hold her hand. But the stairs are just too high for her to walk by herself and mummy often has to fight to hold onto her (can't imagine she falls facedown onto the steps). While walking up the stairs, mummy often has to hold onto her very tightly as this Sweetie wants to walk with 1 leg only for each step. When walking down the stairs, she wants to move 2 steps per leg. *Sigh* seems like she loves to leap before she could walk.

Fun with Nature
It's amazing how the landscape can change from a dull brown to a beautiful green scenery just within a week. And to see flowers popping up one by one and subsequently seeing them in full bloom.
It's indeed refreshing to be back with nature again.
So, we brought our little darlings to a stable to see horses. Though mummy has taken pictures with real horses before, the feelings were a little different when standing at the entrance of the stable, seeing only the heads of the horses sticking out. In the video, my Sweetie just woke up from her afternoon nap, guess it's a big surprise for her to see a horse strolling past her.
We had fun watching the horses galloping round the field. The best is when the jockey stops by to let us have a close contact with his horse. My darlings were excited too to touch the horse (the feelings are different when you are near it or watching it at a distance). The visit helps to strengthen my Cutie's understanding of what a stable is while my Sweetie is now better at identifying a horse and especially it's long tail.
We also had a visit to a strawberry farm. Note the big strawberry hairclips on their hair, hee... Mummy loves this visit cos' finally, my darlings know where strawberries come from (I hope). Last year, this Cutie told me that oranges come from SUPERMARKETS when I asked her where they come from (hee... guess it's a universal answer from modern days' kids).
The strawberries were indeed big, juicy and sweet. Of course, there were small and medium sizes too. My darlings love this visit very much, haha... cos' of the freeflow of strawberries for sampling from the auntie selling them (strawberries are their favourites).
On the way home, we popped by to a cow farm. But the smell from the cow-dung is a little over-bearing. My darlings were actually quite frightened to see so many cows, so ended that mummy had to stretch my leg behind them and quickly snapped a picture of them.
Bet we will have more nature visits here in Korea.

Guitar Concert
My Sweetie's guitar is identical to her Jie Jie's, but... not the same. Haha...
Well, when there's 2 kids in the house and having only 1 guitar, creativity is greatly needed to keep the house in "harmony".
Instead of buying another guitar, mummy cut out the same "guitar" from the box and tied a string on both ends. The second guitar looks exactly the same as the first (hee... only from the front).
The most wonderful thing is that this Sweetie of mine loves it and claims "Meimei's" (it's Meimei's). She is happy and contented with this guitar of hers and does not fight over the real guitar with her Jiejie. That's the sweetest thing about little babies. "Muck" (kiss).

Another concert again
Look at my Sweetie, guess she can be quite a fashion fab next time, from the way she put on her head band. Listen to her version of the song "Mama Mia".
They were holding onto their microphones (transformed from their golf clubs). This time round, my Cutie brought along her "ear phones" which has a "microphone" function. Haha... that was actually a stethoscope from her doctor's kit.
Fun with boxes again
First, they placed all their balls inside the box. Next, both of them squeezed inside the box with their babies (the doggie and penguin). Then I overheard my Cutie telling her Meimei that they were in Gogobambini. Hee... they still can remember having a fun time with all the balls at Gogobambini and that was a year ago already (March 2008). See how happy they were.
Hello, hello
Mickey Mouse Fans
I've bought a set of mickey mouse tees for everybody cos' hee... the design makes me feel as if I'm being hugged by mickey mouse. My darlings love them too.
For our car, we bought a mickey mouse contact number tag (fyi, it's important to have a contact number tag on your car in Korea). Of course, with mickey mouse sunshades too.

See my mickey tee and hairclip too.

Bye April.
The numerous outings/gatherings with friends also tires mummy out. Mummy longs for a break to stay at home and laze around. Mummy has so much to blog about my darlings. So I'm gonna stay at home and do nothing but blog? Gee...
I'm an embassador for Singapore.
Me too.
