Happy 4th Birthday, Sweetie

My Sweetie is now 4 years old.  Still as sweet as ever and haha..., as pampered as ever too (but a lot better now).  Didn't get to preorder any cake with her favourite cartoon character for her, but this little sweetie is equally happy with the cake that she has chosen from Bengawan Solo. The cake was yummy.

Since baby, she has been very possessive of mummy and never seems to have enough of mummy though her sister has been giving in to her (to let mummy carry her etc).  Too possessive until sometimes mummy wants to get away for a break.  Yet her love for mummy and her sweetie smile just melts mummy's heart easily and at times, mummy would wonder how mundane our lives would have been if without her.  On the right is a picture which she drew for Mummy in February.  See how she expresses her love for me.  So sweet.

The next day was the first day of school, so she brought some goodies to give to her classmates.  This sweetie is happy that she doesn't have to wear her school uniform today.  It was so sweet of her Jiejie to carry the basket of goodies for her.  What a lucky lass.

Happy Birthday, Sweetie.  Forever my Sweetie pie.

Dora, science centre water play

This June holidays have been filled with fun and laughters.  Had signed up my Cutie for a robotic workshop where she had a funtime building her crab robot and learned about other robots like R2D2.

Besides watching the Elmo and Hello Kitty Performance at the malls, Mummy had also brought them to watch the Dora Performance.  Many parents were curious where Mummy got the beautiful Dora backpack for them as it was not available in Singapore (bought it in USA).
Haha... told my darlings that this will be the last time that Mummy will bring them for this kind of Meet-and-Greet Performance (super time-consuming activity to be in the queue just for a few seconds of photo taking session with the characters).  Luckily, my darlings nodded their heads.

When Daddy was on leave, we went to the Science Centre again.  But this time round, my darlings had some waterplay.  They were very happy (haha... guess it brought back sweet memories of the funtime they had at Everland waterplay).
Ending the day with a delicious meal at our favourite Japanese restaurant again (haha... got to get some commission from them for being advertised in my blog so many times).  The last photo was taken by my Sweetie.  Quite well-taken to me.  Really can't believe they have grown to be so independent now, nevertheless they will always be little babies in Mummy's eyes.

Premier Suite @RItz Carlton - Day 2

Today, we went to the pool again.  We managed to shop for new swimming suits for them yesterday (cos' it's already quite late after the NDP Parade).  After that, my darling also had some fun playing in the big bathtub in the room (yes, again).  Tho' we were able to have late checkout at 3pm, there really wasn't much time left after they had their nap.

We had such a really wonderful stay here that my darlings were so reluctant to leave.  Well, this Premier Suite was indeed really spacious and comfy.  Even the bathroom area was so big, it was connected to both the common room and the bedroom.  My darlings enjoyed running round and round from the common room to the bedroom , then to the bathroom and back to the common room.

There were 2 televisions (46 inches wide), thus allowed us to watch our drama serials in the common room while the kids enjoyed watching cartoon programs in the bedroom.  Not forgetting the comfortable king size bed too.  However, the greatest plus point was the superwide windows and the unique octagon-shape windows.  As our room were located at the end of the level, we were also able to have a bird's eye view of the Millenia Walk area.

It was so sweet too of the management to pamper us with some cupcakes and champange, after knowing that it was my Sweetie's birthday this month.  This little gesture really marks the difference in the standard of service being in a 6-star hotel.

Haha... will we be back next year?

Premier Suite @Ritz Carlton - Day 1

Today, we were back at Ritz Carlton.  My darlings were very happy cos' they have such fun time last year when we were here.  This time round, we were staying in the Premier Suite which faces the Marina Bay area (with the Marina Bay Sand, The Marina Floating Platform, The Fullerton Hotel and Esplanade).
We went to the Club Lounge on the 32nd floor.  It was great that children are allowed into the Club Lounge (but before 5pm).  The panoramic views from the top of the hotel are really magnificient.  My darlings had a great time with the delicious tea-time snacks and the special service of having their hot chocolate served in a smiley face design.

Mummy's creative juice set in and thus also decided to create a smiley face with the food.  My darlings helped in with the designs too.  It was really lovely to have such great views, great food and of course, with great company.

We saw the Marina Bay Floating Platform and noticed that there were some rehearsals going on.  This reminded us that we could watch the NDP Flypast again later, just like last year.  The photo on the right was taken during the NDP 2011 rehearsal that night.  See if you could spot the chinook and 2 Apaches carrying the big Singapore National Flag.
We had a great time today with a swim at the pool in the hotel.  It was our first time going to the pool of all the hotels that we had stayed before (cos' usually would be busy sightseeing, shopping or resting in the hotel room).  My darlings were very excited too.  Guess that besides the bathtub with the magnificent view in the room, this pool has become another highlight for them when we come back here next time.
The night views of the city landscape were really nice.  The photo was taken from the bedroom window and the big area lighted below was the Floating Platform where we watched the National Day Parade rehearsal earlier.  The feeling of watching the fireworks from this height (21st floor) was very unique.

Yummy Steamboat and Chocolate Fondue

After sending our car for servicing, we took a cab to the Tiong Bahru Mall.  It has been a really long time since Mummy came to this mall.  We chanced upon this restaurant and Mummy likes the idea of having steamboat with individual pot of soup (then my darlings can enjoy cooking their own food).  Haha.... in the end, we were still the one cooking for them as we realised that it's too dangerous for them.  Nonetheless, we were able to have different soup base in the individual pots.

Rather, it was the chocolate fondue which really captivated my darlings the most.  They had such fun time dipping the various marshmallows and fruits into the melted chocolate.  Yummy, yummy.

Really glad that my darlings love it.

Fun @Orchard

It's been a while since we came to the central part of Orchard Road.   But we only managed to shop at Centrepoint and 313@Somerset as it was evening by the time we came here after their gym classes.  After that, we brought our darlings to the sophisticated playground on the rooftop of  313@Somerset ,which I've mentioned before in my other post.  However, my darlings seemed to be more interested in the simple playground where they pretended that it was their home.
It was fun watching them role-playing while we enjoyed our coffee inside.  Mummy is glad that both of them enjoy having each others' company.  Life is getting better for Mummy, with both of them getting more independent.
The only thing that was needed after some shopping is having a foot spa.  Haha... my darlings really enjoyed it.

Elmo, Hello Kitty and Clarke Quay

Today after their enrichment class, we were in time for the performance by the Sesame Street characters.  We decided to stay on the 2nd level that has lesser crowd and with better view.  Mummy bought some food from Burger King so  that they can have their dinner at the same time.

We had planned initially for the Hello Kitty Meet and Greet Session at the Central, so we left after watching the performance put up by Elmo, Cookie Monster and Grover.

We were just in time to watch the performance put up by Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel.  After that, we went out of the mall to the Clarke Quay area.

It was a superb idea, sitting by the riverbank and watching the junk boats (with tourists) sailing by.  My darlings recalled the time when we were on the river cruise with the Hippo Duck Tour.  The feelings were different when on the other side of the riverbank, on the boat and on this side of the riverbank.

It was also fun to watch the reverse bungee jumping, with screams of those in it.  However, it was still the food that makes the moment super relaxing and enjoyable.  Hee...
