Esplanade Concert Hall

Brought our darlings to watch a performance at the Esplanade Concert Hall.  They were very excited and enjoyed the music by the orchestra.  It was a wonderful performance and the audience was wonderful too to request for an encore.   It was an eye-opener for our darlings.
After the concert, we went to the Marina Square nearby for dinner and shopping.  It's been quite some time back since we came to Marina area.  We were glad that there is a branch of our restaurant chain there.  Daddy was very happy too to have gotten himself a new GPS.  It has been a wonderful weekend.

Oranges from Jeju, Korea

Was at the supermarket and saw some oranges from Jeju.  The sweet memories of our visit to Jeju island and the video of my Cutie peeling oranges in one of my earliest post, came to mind.  Haha... causing Mummy to buy the oranges on impulse.

My darlings were also very eager to peel the oranges and my Cutie also remembers about the video of her peeling the oranges when we were in Korea.  But this time round, her meimei is also old enough to peel the oranges together with her.

Watch the video to see them having a great time peeling the oranges.

We do also miss the big and delicious strawberries that we had in Korea.  Unfortunately, the srawberries that we saw in the supermarket here (tho' shipped from Korea), are just so tiny in comparison.

Spring is round the corner in Korea at this time of the year and that's the strawberries season.  Really missed the basketful of fresh yummy strawberries that we bought direct from the farm when we were in Korea.  Yum, yum.

Singapore Science Centre

Today, my darlings went on an excursion to the Singapore Science Centre.  However, my Cutie was rather disappointed that she did not have any chance to read what she saw (seems like it's a touch-and-go kind of excursion).  So Daddy and Mummy decided to bring them to the Science Centre again that day.

My darlings were very happy to go back again and best of all, this time round, they have all the opportunities to explore what they see and to play at the playground area too.  For my Cutie, she is also happy that she can have the time to read and understand whatever she sees.  The Science Centre is full of wonders to satisfy their inquisitive minds.  So Science Centre, we'll be back again.

Watch my Sweetie firing the canons at the enemy.  Hee... of course, with Daddy's help to load the canons.

大世界 Uncle Ringo

During the Chinese New Year month, there was this Uncle Ringo funfair at the open space area near Compass Point with the 大世界 theme.  Like any kids, my kids were fascinated with the rides and games that they see around them.  Guess it also brings back sweet memories of Everland, especially when they saw the carousel and the car rides.  My darlings also had a great time rowing the "boats" and floating on water.  It was fun.

Watch my Sweetie enjoying her car rides.

Watch them rowing their boats.

Kite Flying

It's been a while since we last fly the kites.  We had wanted to on a numerous occasions, but just couldn't manage to.  So today, besides being a holiday, the weather was nice and cooling too for kite flying.
My darlings were very excited as they finally got a chance to fly kites (dun think they remember much about their kite flying sessions in their younger days).  The open space near our house is a popular spot for kite flying and my darlings will always look out for the kites whenever we go past the place.  Even Mummy is fascinated with the variety of kites that we saw - giant size kites, uniquely-designed kites and kites with lights that are used for night flying.
We got a Dora kite which my Sweetie can't wait to lay claim on, hee... Dora's her favourite.  My Cutie was equally happy to have her Elmo's kite too.  My darlings had an enjoyable time and of course, a meal at the McDonald nearby, adds more joy to the kite-flying session.

Watch my Sweetie flying her Dora's kite here.

Happy Chinese New Year / Chingay Parade

After having a round of CNY last year in Singpore, my darlings are now immersing in the fun of CNY celebrations.

Mummy has gotten a pair of bunny shoes for them as it is the year of the Rabbit.  My darlings were very happy wearing them with their CNY clothes.  In addition, not forgetting the CNY goodies too.  We had also more CNY functions to attend.  It has been a tiring month, but it is worth it when seeing the happy faces of my darlings.

This year, we had also specially brought them to watch the Chingay parade since the parade was held near Yeye's house.  Mummy bought some light sticks for them and it really added on to their joy.  My darlings were very excited as it has been quite some time watching a parade and they really miss the parade in Everland, hee...

This year is definitely going to be great and fun-filled with activities.
