NDP Preview 2011

Daddy got the preview tickets to the National Day Parade at the Marina Floating Platform (yes, the same one that we saw from Ritz Carlton).  But as he was on duty that day, so he couldn't join us.  Nevertheless, we decided to go ahead to the parade as we felt it would be a great experience for them.
It was our first time on the Marina Floating Platform.  My darlings were very excited to be among the crowd and also recalled the characters that they had seen from Ritz Carton the other time.  But this time round, they can hear clearly what the masters of ceremony were saying.

They love everything about the parade especially when the parachuters landed on the parade square and of course, the fireworks.  It's a different feeling watching the fireworks here at the Floating Platform.

There is the Ritz Carlton in the background.  Haha... we were up there the other time.

When the parade ended, we were walking on the road without any fear of any oncoming vehicles on this busy road (cos' of road closure).  My darlings were very happy with the fun packs that they had from the parade especially the LED light.

Really want to thank our Aunt for helping out in this occasion.  Though Mummy believes I could manage on my own too, her company is a blessing too.

Racing Cars

Today after shopping at Tampines1, we joined in the fun at the Wacky Sports Event.  However, it was this Slot Car Racing booth that got my darlings excited.  Luckily, the amount on our receipt is more than enough for 3 of them to have a go with a car each.

Watch the video to see how focus both of them were.

Bingo

One of the games that we were playing is the Bingo game that Mummy has created for my darlings.  See how much fun they had in identifying the words at the shopping mall.

My Cutie was very excited and couldn't wait to find all the words on her Bingo card.  My Sweetie was more calm and taking things easy.  Haha... nevertheless both of them had a great time playing and searching for the words.

Everyday, time passes very fast with my 2 little darlings.  Can't believe that they were so big now, Mummy remembers wishing that they would be this age when they were still babies then.  How mummy wishes that time would pause at this moment with them remaining at this age.  Hee... guess Mummy is enjoying this moment so much.  Can't imagine having a day without them.

Morning Calls

It's great that now they don't have to go to school in the morning, they can wake up early to give their Daddy a hug and goodbye before he left for work.  Hee... look at my Sweetie's cheeky look.

Since the sky is still dark, Mummy gave them their illuminated board to write.  Guess what my darlings write.  My Sweetie has written the number of 1 - 10, which she has learned on her own.  For my Cutie, it's not a surprise when she uses the opportunity again to profess her love for Mummy.  So lovely of her to include her Daddy and Meimei too.

On another day, they had an enjoyable time drawing and colouring with their mini drawing projector.  Hee... look at their sleepy eyes.  But it doesn't bother them because of the fun that they were having.
After that, nothing beats better than a cup of tea for breakfast.  Cheers.

Parcels for the family

Mummy got some unwanted wrapping papers, so gave it to my darlings to giftwrap some boxes.  See how much fun they had.

Mummy has only demonstrated once and left the rest for them to explore.  My Cutie was so creative to add the addressee and address. Also not forgetting the stamp.

The best part is to see both sisters working together and it was really sweet of the Jiejie to help her little sister.

All that mummy did, was just to capture these beautiful moments on camera.  Smile.

Last Day of School

(This is a backdated post)

It's the beginning of a new term, yet it marks the end of school for both my darlings.

Why?  Never had we met someone as unreasonable as the principal of their school, whose self-interest override the interests of the children under her charge.

It's a long story and it would be endless to tell about her ridiculous principles and not forgetting the constant ridiculous shouting from her for no particular reason.  She doesn't like the children to wear sweaters (even on normal school days) or caps to excursion as she claims that it will spoil her uniform (ie. the school uniform).  Mummy can only say that I totally lost my respect for her as a principal when I heard that from her mouth.  Nevertheless, Mummy has never rebuked her in any manner.  However, she nursed a grudge against mummy because many parents were present when she blurted that out of her mouth.  It was no surprise that there were already numerous complaints against her to the MOE.

Daddy penned the following at the end of his email to her.  Hope it can enlighten her, hahaha...

The power of the tongue
Our tongue, and the words that come from it, has incredible power. Words have the power to hurt or to heal, to tear down or build up, and to curse or comfort.
~ John Powell

Doesn't want to write much about her in my lovely blog.
Anyway, think it's good that my darlings are out of her control and tyranny.  It's not a loss to us as Mummy has previously considered whether to hometeach them.  The only thing Mummy would miss, hee..., is my 3 hours daily break which now, however has become an additional 3 hours of bonding time for us (as Mummy's NPL will end next year and they will have to go to childcare then).

Mummy was initially worried that my darlings will be upset by their sudden departure from school.  But amazingly, they do not miss their school at all.  What a relief.
