A W(r)AITING day

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is into its fifth year with the Project Postcard Campaign. Its aim is to encourage residents to invite friends and family to visit Singapore (Click on the link to see Uniquely Singapore). Since the postcard has already been paid for, I got my Cutie to "write" something to her daddy. Oh my, she was really engrossed in her "writing".

Today also tried making the cupcakes for the first time. It turned out quite well and I've added some raisins specially for my darling. Guess the aroma is too tempting, she was practically glued to the cupcakes. Look at her yearning expression, so cute. Cos' I told her that she can only eat after picture taking. Bad mummy, hee...

Wait ...

Wait ...

When can I get a bite of these yummy cupcakes?

A Sweetie Story

Hi, remember me?
Now I can lift myself up already.
Sleeping is still my hobby, what about you?

though occasionally, I will do some "reading".

Now, I know how to enjoy life better by playing with toys.

I have a super big cot ...
But it is nothing compared to this queen-size bed,
which is now our territory, haha.....
So,
don't mess with me, understand?

Scared?

Come, let me give you a sweetie hug.

Elmo's Invasion - Not again

Yes, my Cutie is treating her Elmo like a baby again. This time she places him in her Meimei's exersaucer. Kekeke.... she is really observant. I will usually place the pink pillow around my Sweetie as she's yet to hold herself well in the exersaucer. See, my Cutie did exactly the same to her Elmo. *faint* *faint*
If you take a closer look, my Cutie has almost recovered from her fall. Thanks to the special cream (Combiderm) and also the expensive Activa Condelisa Scar Heal which I applied conscientiously on her face day and night. My Cutie has been quite cooperative too, as to not scratch her wounds, else it would have taken a much longer time to heal. Thank God the wound has almost healed with no scar. Imagine it was on her face!
Nowadays, when she sees the park from the window, she will point and say "park, fall, pain pain". I hope she will be able to overcome this soon as I don't want her to associate the park as a place where she was in pain.

Caught in the Act

Yes, my Cutie is playing her role as a mummy again.
Managed to snap this pict of her placing Elmo in her Meimei's sarong in the room. *faint*

S-T-O-P

S, T, O, P, each letter coming out one after another from my Cutie's mouth. Though she was reading them slowly, it marks another milestone for my Cutie's development.

She is now advancing to spell words and she has displayed the understanding that she should read from left to right and not the other way round.

This "stop" sign was pasted in the kitchen partition and has been served as a reminder to her that it is an out-of-bound area (tho recently I have laxed on the rule a bit, that she can still enter so long as the stove/oven was not in use). This morning, I didn't stop her from entering, yet she herself stopped by the "stop" sign and read the letters one by one herself. So cute :) She's really good at giving me surprises again.

STOP - from this, I can't help but to relate to what had happened to my Cutie yesterday.

Yes, she has the worst fall in her life. Now, everytime I look at her face, my heart aches. I just feel like crying. Yesterday, I was really mad with the maid and really wanted to send her back to the agent (I'm angry but I didn't tell her off). Can you imagine the pain my Cutie suffered, falling onto the tarmac area in the park? Thank God tho her left eye area was badly hurt, she did not hurt her eye.

But if she had been STOPped in the first place (ie. watched over), all these wouldn't have happened. Even tho her molars are popping out, my Cutie has never cried with such great pain like yesterday. My poor Cutie.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my neighbour, Marie, for her act of kindness in my time of distress.

Certified Potty Trained

Hurray, today I am a fully certified potty-trained kid. Mummy says I am a good girl.

Here's my Potty Training Diploma Certificate.

Wow, my first Diploma at 19 months.

Thanks for your prayers.

Another Cutie Day

Today, mummy let me feed myself and I think I have done well. It would have been better if mummy let me play with my food as well.

My toy phone rang just now, did you call me?

I often "help" my mummy to feed my Mei-mei.

I will play with her too.

Aren't I a nice jie-jie (sister)?

Haha... I like to play on the rocker too.

Gee... I am feeling very nervous now cos' I will be taking a TEST tonight. The result will only be known tomorrow morning.

For the past few days, I haven't been wearing any pampers for my afternoon nap. Gee...I didn't pee on the bed. I only wear pampers when I sleep at night and for a record of 4 nights, my pampers was still dry in the morning.

So tonight, mummy says not going to let me wear pampers to bed. So if I didn't pee on bed tonight, I will then be a full-fledged potty trained kid tomorrow.

Kekeke.... pray for me ok? These drinks are on me. Thanks.

Backpack, backpack

Been watching the cartoon "Dora, the Explorer" with my Cutie recently. Find that it's a very educational program, great for kids to watch and learn. In each espisode, Dora will ask the kids (whoever watching the show) to look for the right thing in her backpack that can help her to overcome her problem. But before that, she will get the kids to sing a song on the backpack.

The other night, caught my Cutie saying "backpack, backpack, backpack...." non-stop. To me, it's another new word that she has mastered. So cute. She does not fail to surprise me now and then with her new vocab lately, like the other day she wanted to help to hold the milk bottle and she looked at me and said "feed". On another occasion, she said "leaf" when she saw it in the book.

Here's the video of her saying "backpack" and her cleaning her nose (still having running nose). If you observe you may think that she got a "dimple" on her left cheek. She actually had a fall few weeks back and somehow it ended up to be like this.

The Next-Generation Fashion Designer

Lately, my Cutie loves to dress herself. She will want to wear the clothes herself before waiting for me to help. However, usually I ended up having to help her to dress properly.

Yesterday, she attempted to dress herself again, but the question is she was already fully-clothed. She only managed to get the dress through her head and left arm. I say that’s quite an achievement already.

Looking at her dressing, I wonder hmmm…. maybe my Cutie will become the next generation fashion designer in time to come? Cos' find her creation quite nice after all, comparable to those designer pieces found in fashion magazines (kekeke….). Really wonder where she got the idea from?

A Moment to Pause

Today, let my Cutie wears the Girl Shoe Socks that I've bought. They came with anti-slip design, but the main reason of buying them is they look so cute. My Cutie was quite fascinated and been wondering are these socks or shoes? Glad that she loves them. Hee... of course, got one for my Sweetie too. In addition, bought 2 more pairs in red for them cos' just can't resist the thought of these socks on my darlings' feet.

Yesterday, brought my darlings to a shop by the name of Pauseability (Pause for Possibility?). Actually, it's owned by my ex-principal. A cozy, home-like ambience, a place meant for one to pause by and enjoy some peace and quiet / do some craft.

The interesting thing is that the place marked another first for my Cutie - the first time she POO in a public toilet.

Yippee... another step forward for my Cutie's potty training. Usually when out and she has her pampers on, my Cutie will conveniently pee in it (although lately she did pee a few times in public toilet). Yesterday, to my surprise, she actually told me her needs to go to the toilet. Mmmm.... guess my Cutie decided to pause for a moment too in Pauseability?

My greatest joy can be found in this 2-second video, can you feel it too?

Sisterly Love
