Beautiful Spring

Last Sunday, we have an outing to see the beautiful cherry blossoms. Before that, we had gone to a Chinese Restaurant for a 8-course lunch (haha... cos' mummy craves for Chinese food) Read my other blog for reviews on the food.

We were memerised by the beautiful sight of a long stretch of cherry blossom trees and my darlings had a fun time playing with the flower petals on the ground. It's so fun to have a handful of the sakura falling onto our heads, like snow. My Cutie also enjoyed "sweeping" the petals with the shuttlecock that she had found.

Yeah, Spring is fun.

A mummy's thot

Mummy has decided not to attend the Korean Language Lesson anymore (those with 2 young toddlers like mine will be able to understand why).

First, getting them ready in the morning alone (especially during winter time) is so taxing on me. Recently, this Sweetie of mine also tends to wake up early and so do my Cutie too. On those school days, mummy will have to try to get them to sleep again to wake up later so that they won't be sleepy and grouchy in school. Sometimes it works and recently, it doesn't (so mummy has not been going to school then, *sigh* after wasting my early morning trying to coax them to sleep). Guess my darlings also find it weird why on some days they can wake up early and some days they will need to sleep more.

Indeed, bet my Sweetie is confused too why sometimes mummy will get her to sit on the potty in the morning on some days and not on some days (cos' will be late for school if wants to wait until she pees). That's why this Sweetie has not been successful on her potty training. In additon, mummy is tired every time we come home after school. If mummy still has energy left, she would rather use it to have some activities with my darlings.

Think Mummy is getting old and memory is failing too. Can't seem to be able to remember many of the Korean words learnt, thus self-study would be the best option for me (ie. to learn at my own pace).

So, instead of rushing for class in the morning, now we have a great time of going to the park every morning. My darlings are very excited about going to the park too. And yes, it's Spring now. Look at the flowers popping out one by one.

My Sweetie also is getting used to the routine of going to the park after she has pee/poo in the potty in the morning (ie. less waiting time for mummy). Of course, their favourite part is to be able to watch their "Pororo" cartoon on television every morning after playing in the park. Mummy can thus use this short period of time to do some self-learning or serve the web (gee... and the result: mummy has bought so many things online). Retail therapy is great.

Fun at home

1) Fun with stickers

See my long fingernails.

See our "new" watches and rings.

2) Fun with boxes

These are actually boxes for things which mummy bought online. Gee... there's a small one for Elmo too.

3) Our self-made sunglasses

Do we look cool?

4) More crafts

Cupcakes using playdohs

Our family members made with egg shells and cotton wool.

5) Food is part of the fun too, hee...

Chocolate bears, yummy.

We are cooking a big "pot" of food to share with you too. (haha... with mummy's laundry basket and their toy golf clubs).

3-year old Cutie

Finally, my Cutie turns 3 today.

Can't believe I was so scared 3 years ago at the delivery suite, cos' I was so afraid of labour pain. Hee... that day I was still teaching in school tho' I was having regular interval of strong backache pain. Being a mummy for the 1st time, Mummy didn't know that it's actually one of the symptoms of labour and thus had endured the pain throughout the day until late at night when the backache pain was just too unbearable (haha... my threshold for pain is quite high as my Cutie was delivered about 4 hours later after admission in hospital.

The other day, saw a 2-month old baby at the nursery room. Many thots flashes thru' my mind, thinking of my Cutie and Sweetie when they are around that age and also marvel at how "big" they have grown now in comparison. It's so much easier to take care of them when they are at that age (hee... cos' they will only be sleeping and drinking milk at most times). I remembered then, I was looking forward to them walking on their own. So ironic.

Can't believe I have been a mother for 3 years already. Arrgh... guess I'm feeling old already.

Talking about my Cutie, she got a guitar for her birthday. She is very happy to have that cos' she's been longing to have one for a while. The other day, she was so imaginative to join the legs of the shoes rack together and strummed on it as if it were a guitar.

So you can imagine her joy when she got a "real" guitar of her own. Indeed, this guitar is quite real as the strings are similar to real ones and there's a special function in which the song will only play a note according to her strumming, ie. no sound when she stops and the song will flow according to her speed of strumming.

We had celebrated her birthday during a BBQ yesterday and got another cake to celebrate today with her (her actual birthday). Gee... sometimes I want to be in her shoes, so blessed with love and care.

Happy Birthday, darling.
