Is it Mid Autumn?

Tomorrow is the Mid Autumn Festival. I did not buy any lanterns for Amanda (guess she’s too young to appreciate?). But next year, I will buy one each for her and Felicia. I will also get them to take a walk around the park downstairs with their lanterns. Guess it’ll be interesting then to see both of them having fun with their lanterns.

Though it is mid-autumn, the weather these few days, is extremely hot and humid. I have already thinned Amanda’s hair (cos' she has a lot of hair now), but my Cutie still perspires like nobody’s business. Bathed her 3 or more times everyday and she still complained "hot". So I decided to try tying her hair today. She looks so sweet with her new hairdo. It’s such a joy to see her having fun with the comb, hairbands and hairclips. Can’t help but feel it is so blessed to being a child. She also enjoys her new look in the mirror. Vain?? Well, it’s ok cos’ she will become a woman one day.

For Felicia, she is as sweet as ever. She really enjoys having people to talk to her and she loves to respond too. As for the sarong, it is simply marvelous. Whenever she is cranky, I just place her there and start the motorized rocker, she will fall asleep almost immediately. Really wonder who was the one invented the sarong. Of course, the biggest credit goes to the one inventing the motorized rocker, else I will have to stay next to her to rock the sarong. Actually, it is not a problem lah with a maid in the house (had almost forgotten I have a maid now). Anyway, kudos to these great inventors.

Sarong, Sarong

Hooray, finally found the sarong. Yes, got everything ready – the sarong stand, the automatic rocker and mobile, yet the triangle hook and sarong were missing. I had seen the sarong when we shifted back to our house, but just could not remember where I placed it after that. I have been searching and “digging” the house for more than a month and finally my efforts were paid off. I need them desparately cos’ my Sweetie's head is getting flat. I want her to have a well-shaped head and the sarong is best to the rescue. However, I do not want her to get addicted to the sarong (ie. need to be rocked to sleep). So, I only let her sleep in it in the morning when she’s still sleepy and thus don’t have to use the automatic rocker often.

When I first placed Felicia into the sarong, her eyes were wide-opened as in shock. She seems to enjoy the warmth of being wrapped up, yet also has this weird feeling of floating in the air. After a while, her curiosity fades off and she sleeps snugly in the sarong with her sweetie grin.

For Amanda, I finally gave her back her softtoy Elmo. She was so happy to see him as the other Elmo is just too hard and heavy for hugging. Think she will remember never to feed him with her water bottle again. Guess what, she then went to take Elmo’s pacifier (it’s a toy pacifier from a gift basket which I gave to her) and put it into Elmo’s mouth. * faint *

Now she’s “cleaning” the house again and this time she has equipped herself with a small broom (hello kitty fan) and a pail with mop (shapes container and the softtoy flower). Aiyoyo…really creative.

Amanda dumjped her broom and put her mop into the pail.

First Blog on My Darlings

I call Amanda - my Cutie and Felicia – my Sweetie. From the picture, guess you can tell why I call Felicia Sweetie. Well, she is really sweet and she got beautiful smiles too. Though only 2 months old, she loves to have people talking to her and she will acknowledge with her lovely smiles. At times, she will try to imitate what you say and must admit her voice sounds so sweet. Too bad, don’t know why can’t upload her voice recording here.

For Amanda, her cuteness can be seen everyday. Yesterday, she fed her favourite soft toy Elmo with her water bottle again. * faint *. Guess she is imitating me, seeing me feed her sister everyday. So I decided to hide her Elmo and today I asked her where is her Elmo and she answered “Where?” in her cutie voice. While I was changing clothes for Felicia, she came in hugging her Elmo (she got 2 – this one was the battery operated one) *faint * faint * As usual, she loves to “vacuum” the floor. Anything with a handle to hold, that thing will be transformed into a vacuum cleaner in her hand. She doesn’t just vacuum the floor, she even lifted up the small mattress and vacuum the floor area under the mattress. Gave her a big stalk of softtoy flower (those can be found in Mini Toon). She immediately overturned the stalk with the petals facing the floor and woolahlah, it was transformed to a vacuum cleaner too. Hmm…maybe I shouldn’t brand her as being naughty, I should instead reward her for her creativeness??? *faint*
