Read from a friend's blog that kid can skate for free after making certain amount of purchases at Velocity (so it's twice the amount for Mummy, hee...). Mummy loves ice skating and would definitely not miss this chance to get my darlings to have a go. At first, my darlings were a little apprehensive, yet they also wanted to try. There were "snow" falling from the "sky" in the skating rink and the place really seems like a winter wonderland.
The trainers were great to get them to start with a walk on the ice while holding on their hands and then slowly encouraging them to take the first step to walk on their own. So tho' it was just a half an hour session, my darlings have progressed from having difficulties to even stand on the ice, to being able to walk confidently on their own.
The most wonderful news is that my darlings love ice skating too and this will mean this is going to become 1 of our family activities in future.
