Sweetie's Independence (Part 1)

In about a month's time, this little Sweetie will be turning 2. Oh dear, realises that mummy hasn't blogging much solely for this darling of mine, so will be dedicating a few individual blogs for her.

Since our arrival here in Korea, this Sweetie has changed a lot from a sweetie little baby to an independent, iniquisitive young toddler and mmm... still sweet too.

Tho' she hasn't reached 2, she is already declaring her independence starting a few months back. The picture on the left shows her wearing the socks and err.. her Jiejie's shoes all by herself. Mummy's shoes are often not spared too.

Like her Jiejie before, this Sweetie also loves to wear her clothes herself and also to "designs" her own clothes. See her self-designed dress using the blanket on the left. Even at home, she often puts on her hat/cap herself. During winter then, she would often put on her winter jacket herself too.

Since young, her daring nature has always been a worry for mummy. She still loves to climb onto the coffee table and stand on it. Even her study table is not spared (see picture on left). So you can see this little one is not afraid of height.

Everytime we climb up the stairs to our house on the 4th storey, she wants to walk up all by herself and doesn't want anybody to hold her hand. But the stairs are just too high for her to walk by herself and mummy often has to fight to hold onto her (can't imagine she falls facedown onto the steps). While walking up the stairs, mummy often has to hold onto her very tightly as this Sweetie wants to walk with 1 leg only for each step. When walking down the stairs, she wants to move 2 steps per leg. *Sigh* seems like she loves to leap before she could walk.

With this adventurous nature of her, she often has bruises here and there, a few of them were on her face too. So you can imagine mummy's pain whenever this little Sweetie got a fall. Just pray that this Sweetie will be careful and not to try anymore dangerous "stunts".
